Volunteer Team Takes Position in Dhamrai Amid Concerns Over Possible Political Activities

Amid concerns over possible activities marking the 77th founding anniversary of the Awami League, whose political activities are currently prohibited, leaders and activists of the Jatiyatabadi Swechhasebak Dal (Volunteer Party) gathered at the Islampur area of the Dhaka–Aricha Highway in Dhamrai, Dhaka.

The gathering was organized as a precautionary measure following reports and concerns about possible political activities in the area. Party leaders said they remained alert to help ensure peace, stability, and public order.

Among those present was Nazmul Hasan Abhi, Convener of the Dhaka District Swechhasebak Dal and former General Secretary of Jahangirnagar University Chhatra Dal. He was joined by local party leaders and activists who gathered to monitor the situation.

Speaking at the gathering, party representatives emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order and urged everyone to remain peaceful and avoid any activities that could create unrest. They also expressed their commitment to supporting efforts to maintain stability and public safety in the region.

Local residents observed the situation throughout the day, while traffic on the Dhaka–Aricha Highway remained largely normal. No major incidents were reported during the gathering.

Political observers noted that security measures and political vigilance often increase during significant political anniversaries and events, particularly when there are concerns about unauthorized activities or possible disruptions to public order.

Leaders of the Volunteer Party reiterated that they would remain vigilant and continue cooperating with the relevant authorities to help ensure a peaceful environment for the residents of Dhamrai and the surrounding areas.
