He was born on June 6, 1978 in a respectable Muslim family in Dakshin Ikuria village of Dhamrai Sadar union of Dhamrai upazila.
His father's name was Aminur Rashid and mother's name was Fatema Rashid.
After getting a scholarship in the talent pool from Sharifbagh Primary School, he enrolled in Hardinge High School.
In 1996, he passed the first division in the SSC.
In 1998, he passed HSC and first division and was admitted to the Department of History at Jahangirnagar University in the 1998-1999 session.
Completed with Honors-Masters achievements.
While studying at the university, he got involved in the politics of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal.
He was the co-publicity secretary of Chhatra Dal in 2000 and joint convener in 2002.
The organizational secretary is elected by the council.
In 2004, he was elected as the general secretary of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal with the highest number of votes.
He held this position until 2008.
In 2007, he led the Chhatra Dal at Jahangirnagar University.
In 2010, he was nominated as the co-organizing secretary of the central committee of Chhatra Dal.
In 2012, he served as the joint secretary of the central committee of Chhatra Dal.
On April 17, 2013, Nazmul Hassan Ovi was shot dead by police during a procession.
During the 2013 upazila election campaign, he was arrested from the market in Kalampur.
He married Sultana Nasrin Ahmed on 5 June 2014.
In 2016, he became the father of a daughter.

From 2014 to 2018, he participated in politics under the banner of Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal
in the anti-government movement.
On June 6, 2018, he was elected general secretary of Dhaka District Swechchhasebak Dal.
At that time, he was elected as the assistant journalist secretary of the Swechchhasebak Dal Central Committee.
In October 2019, he was arrested again from a protest rally in front of the BNP office in Nayapaltan over the murder of BUET student Abrar.
On December 25, 2022, he was elected as the convener of Dhaka District Swechchhasebak Dal.
He was a member of Dhamrai municipality BNP. He served as the volunteer affairs secretary of Dhaka district BNP.
He was re-arrested by the DB police on July 26 and released from Dhaka Central Jail on August 6, 2024 as a frontline fighter of the July 36 movement.
He became the father of his second daughter on October 20, 2025.
He is the proprietor of M/s Fatema Traders and a Director of Frame Construction Limited.

In his 28-year political career, he was physically tortured in the name of 37 cases, arrested 3 times and remanded for 15 days
