Nazmul Hasan Abhi Helps Seriously Ill Infant After Seeing Facebook Appeal

Showing compassion and a strong sense of social responsibility, Nazmul Hasan Abhi, Convener of the Dhaka District Jubo Dal and former General Secretary of Jahangirnagar University Chhatra Dal, came forward to help a seriously ill two-month-old baby after seeing a Facebook appeal.

According to the family, the baby girl, the daughter of S.M. Raihanur, a resident of Dhamrai Municipality, was born with hydrocephalus, a condition caused by the buildup of fluid in the brain. Doctors advised that she urgently needed surgery and long-term specialized treatment to survive.

Unable to afford the high cost of treatment, the family appealed for help on social media. After seeing the Facebook post, Nazmul Hasan Abhi immediately contacted the family and visited their home in Dhamrai to learn about the child's condition firsthand.

During the visit, he assessed the baby's condition and took immediate steps to arrange advanced medical treatment. Through his initiative, the child was admitted to the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital in Dhaka for specialized care.

In addition to arranging the hospital admission, Nazmul Hasan Abhi provided overall support for the child's treatment and assured the family that he would continue to stand by them throughout the entire course of her medical care.

The family expressed their sincere gratitude for his timely intervention, describing his support as a source of hope during one of the most difficult times of their lives.

Local residents also praised his humanitarian initiative, saying that acts of kindness like this can make a significant difference for families struggling with serious medical challenges. His prompt response and commitment to helping those in need have been widely appreciated throughout the community.
